With more than 20 years of public relations experience, Beth Mansfield founded Mansfield Communications, a strategic public relations and marketing firm in Ventura, working with brands, corporations and artists.
Previously Beth served as public relations director for CKE Restaurants, Inc., the parent company of fast-food brands Carl's Jr. and Hardee’s, for five years, handling all aspects of PR for the $1.3 billion company. She managed media relations, corporate messaging, investor relations, issues management/crisis communications, public affairs policy and charitable giving. Beth also oversaw media relations for both the Carl's Jr. and Hardee's brands, including PR campaigns for new products and special events. Beth helped launch the Carl's Jr. and Hardee's Facebook pages, Twitter feeds, YouTube channels, Instagram, Google+ and Flickr sites, watching them grow from a handful of fans and followers to more than 3.5 million across all platforms.
Before taking time off to raise a family, Beth created a public relations department from the ground up for a technology startup in Santa Barbara and was PR manager at Kinko’s corporate office prior to their sale to FedEx. She started her career in sports PR in college at San Diego State and held media relations positions at SDSU, Washington State University, University of California, providing PR and media relations for the athletic department, sports teams, coaches and student athletes.
Beth, husband Gregg and daughter Grace, reside in Ventura and are actively involved with local community agencies, trying to make Ventura a more vibrant business-friendly community, as well as a tourism destination. Beth also sits on the advisory board for a professional boat racing tour and does pro-bono work for Dream Foundation, a non-profit in Santa Barbara.
